Fundistry is a gamified investing education app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the Fundistry experience:

Progress data — XP, level, streak, completed lessons, coins, and achievements stored locally on your device.
Paper trading activity — Virtual portfolio positions and trade history, stored locally on your device.
Notification preferences — Whether you have enabled daily challenge or streak reminders, stored locally on your device.
Purchase information — Subscription status (Free, Pro, or Elite) managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Device information — Basic device identifiers used by RevenueCat to verify subscription entitlements. No personally identifiable information is collected for this purpose.

We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any other personal information to use Fundistry.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to:

Display your progress, streak, XP, and portfolio within the app.
Verify your active subscription and unlock the appropriate tier of content.
Send optional push notifications (daily challenge reminders and streak protection alerts) only if you have granted permission.
Improve app performance and fix bugs through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

3. Data Storage

Your progress data (XP, lessons, portfolio, streaks, coins) is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

If you delete the app, this locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device.

4. Third-Party Services

Fundistry uses the following third-party services:

RevenueCat — Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification. RevenueCat may collect anonymised device identifiers to verify entitlements. See their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple App Store — Handles all payment processing for subscriptions. Apple's privacy policy applies to all transactions. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
AI Coach (Elite tier) — The AI Coach feature sends your in-app questions to an AI language model to generate responses. These messages are not linked to your identity and are not stored beyond the active session.
Dividend Data API — Live stock and dividend data is fetched from a server when you use the Dividend Calculator. The ticker symbols you search are sent to our API but are not logged or associated with your identity.

5. Push Notifications

Fundistry may send push notifications if you grant permission. These include:

Daily challenge reminders (9:00 AM)
Streak protection alerts (8:00 PM if no lesson completed that day)

You can enable or disable notifications at any time from within the app's Profile screen or from your device's Settings app.

6. Children's Privacy

Fundistry is intended for users aged 4 and older and is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, no special handling is required. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data as described in Section 4 (third-party services) and only to the extent necessary to operate the app.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is typically no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. Since your app data is stored locally on your device, you can:

Delete your data — Use the "Reset Progress" option in the app's Profile screen to erase all locally stored progress data.
Remove all data — Uninstalling Fundistry from your device removes all locally stored app data.
Manage notifications — Toggle notifications off in the app or in your device Settings at any time.
Manage subscriptions — Cancel or manage your subscription at any time through the App Store settings on your device.

9. Data Security

All data stored on your device uses the secure storage mechanisms provided by iOS. Any data transmitted between the app and our servers (such as dividend data queries or AI Coach messages) uses HTTPS encryption. We do not store non-exempt encryption and have declared this in compliance with Apple's export regulations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Fundistry after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
